THE “KING OF THE WALTZ” ANNOUNCES HIS RETURN TO ITALY ACCOMPANIED BY THE 60 MEMBERS OF HIS JOHANN STRAUSS ORCHESTRA

FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2026 – TURIN, INALPI ARENA

In November last year, André Rieu made his eagerly awaited debut in Italy at the Unipol Forum in Milan: tickets sold out in less than a month after the concert was announced, and 10,000 enthusiastic spectators arrived from all over Italy. By popular demand, the “King of the Waltz” has announced three new concert events in Italy—produced by VignaPR and VIVO Concerti—with the 60 members of his Johann Strauss Orchestra: March 19, 2026, in Bologna at the Unipol Arena, March 20, 2026, in Turin at the Inalpi Arena, and Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Milan at the Unipol Forum.

Tickets will be available for presale from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, on Ticketone.it, the only official ticket outlet for these three concerts.

ith over 40 million albums sold, 4 billion views on YouTube, over 20 million followers on social media, and more than 700,000 spectators per year in over 80 concerts worldwide, André Rieu is one of the most successful and beloved artists of our time. He also has 500 Platinum Records, 270 Gold Records, 30 number one hits in various countries around the world, 10 albums in the UK Top Ten, countless awards since 1995, including three consecutive Classic Brit Awards for “Album of the Year” in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and the SSE Best Live Award in 2018, but above all, the all-time record for box office receipts for a “classical” artist in the history of Billboard.

During each of his performances, the audience is transported into a universe of enchanting melodies as André Rieu conducts the Johann Strauss Orchestra—the largest private orchestra in the world with 60 members—the choir, and multiple soloists in a repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces to famous waltzes, popular hits, soundtracks, and opera arias.

Among the pieces that have made his extraordinary live performances famous are The Lonely Shepherd from the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Ravel's Bolero, and Shostakovich's Second Waltz – one of the best known by Rieu, known as the “King of the Modern Waltz.” There is no shortage of popular hits such as Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love and Frank Sinatra's My Way, as well as Lou Bega's Mambo No. 5, not to mention Italy's own Domenico Modugno with Nel blu dipinto di blu. Among the masters who have inspired him, Rieu cites Johann Strauss, “an entrepreneur and a giant artist at the same time, who had five orchestras simultaneously and composed extraordinary music.” In fact, The Blue Danube is never missing from André's live performances.

The extraordinary energy of his shows—true performances that radiate joy and romance—is a decisive element for André Rieu's audience. His concerts are unique immersive experiences: an explosion of lights, elaborate staging with impressive visuals and screens, sumptuous costumes, extraordinary involvement when the Maestro and the Orchestra reach the stage by crossing the crowd to the notes of Gladiator, but above all the warm participation of an audience of all ages and backgrounds, who find common ground in celebrating music in an atmosphere of pure magic.

André says: “Emotions are the key factor! When a piece touches my heart, I know it will touch yours too. I can't wait to return to Milan and play for the first time in Bologna and Turin. I've been waiting for this moment and I know that the Italian audience has also been longing for it. I expect to see you all dancing and singing at the concert!”
